About Brickhouse
Bed and Breakfast

Brick House Bed & Breakfast, located in historic Scoharie County, NY, is a circa-1799 Federal Style brick farm house, originally built by the mercantilist Peter A. Hilton.

The house has been lovingly restored by Peter Van Deusen, owner of the Brickhouse.

We are just 25 minutes from Cooperstown in Sharon Springs, New York, close to both the Adirondack and Catskills Mountain ranges.

The Brickhouse was added to the National Historic Register of Places on September 24, 2004.

Brickhouse B&B: Now With Free Wi-Fi Internet Access!

As of April 2010, Brickhouse Bed & Breakfast offers free wi-fi access for our guests. We have installed high-speed cable internet and a wireless router.

An old building like this has some very sturdy construction. This means that the strength of our wi-fi signal varies somewhat, depending on location. However, you'll find that it's more than adequate for general internet surfing and email purposes.

New Website

We are working with a web designer to improve and expand our website. What you're looking at now is the first phase of this redesign.

In the coming months, we hope to add more local attractions, a Frequently Asked Questions page, and an online calendar showing room availabilty.

Once we've upgraded our computer, we will be better able to respond to online inquiries.

In the meantime, though, we ask that you continue to contact us the old-fashioned way, at (518) 254-0627. Thanks for understanding.

Help Us Out: TripAdvisor.com

Our regular guests know that July and August are a pretty busy time here at the Brickhouse. The last time we checked, though, it's still a 12-month year, and we are going to be trying out a few things to improve our online presence and, hopefully, keep these rooms full year 'round.

Many of our guests have mentioned TripAdvisor.com as a reliable resource they often use when planning a trip, and it only takes a moment to leave your feedback. By letting the world know what you enjoyed about your time here, you can help ensure Brickhouse B&B will remain viable and solvent.

So…if you've enjoyed your stay at Brickhouse B&B in the past, we'd appreciate it if you could use the widget to the right and leave a review.
